Tungsten exhibits the highest operating temperature of all metals at around 2900 °C (3173K). Its roperties can be varied widely by suitable alloy compositions and production processes. We supply various grades of tungsten for differing applications. Pure and doped tungsten is used in the lighting industry, electronics, medical applications and thin-film technology as well as for welding electrodes and in the construction of high-temperature furnaces
Molybdenum exhibits a high melting point and excellent thermal stability. Its properties can be varied by suitable alloy compositions and production processes. Pure and alloyed molybdenum is used in various applications such as electronics, aerospace, medical, and chemical processing industries. It is also used in the construction of high-temperature furnace components, and as a catalyst in the petroleum industry. In addition, molybdenum is used to make alloys with other metals, such as steel, to enhance their strength and corrosion resistance.
As a pure metal, molybdenum exhibits the following properties:
High melting point of 2610 °C (2883K)
Low thermal expansion
High strength at high temperatures
High electrical conductivity
High thermal conductivity
Good corrosion resistance
Recrystallization temperature between 850 °C and 1000 °C (1123K and 1273K) Pure molybdenum is often used in specialized applications, such as in the production of electrical contacts and vacuum furnace parts. Alloyed molybdenum is more commonly used in a wider range of applications due to its enhanced mechanical and physical properties
Tungsten heavy alloys metal is a family of tungsten-based materials with very high density and good mechanical properties. The combination of the element tungsten and selected additional elements such as nickel, iron, copper and molybdenum result in unique properties for various industrial and military applications. This material is manufactured using powder metallurgy by pressing and sintering the corresponding metal powder components. The range of physical and mechanical properties of tungsten heavy metals, such as density, strength, ductility and magnetic properties offers a wide range to meet numerous engineering requirements. We deliver all types of the tungsten heavy alloys according to ASTM B777 - 15
Tungsten-copper (WCu) is a composite material with a homogeneous microstructure. This material is manufactured using powder metallurgy. The starting elements for production are the purest metal powders, which are pressed directly into porous pressed parts with an exact green density. The porous compacts are then sintered and infiltrated with liquid copper. WCu combines the typical properties of the individual elements tungsten and copper. These are the high hardness, high modulus of elasticity and high resistance to wear and erosion of tungsten with the good electrical and thermal conductivity of copper.
Tungsten granules is a dense material with a low specific surface area and free of carbon and sulfur. The tungsten granules help you efficiently to achieve consistent and quick carbon- and sulfur-analysis in the analytical laboratory. The particle fraction lies in the range of 0.075 to 5.0 mm and can be adjusted according to the customer requirements.
